Abstract
The Higher Education National Teaching Achievement Award is the only national award in the field of higher education in China. The number and level of the award received by a region can reflect and measure its higher education teaching and research level to a certain extent. Its competitiveness in the country. Based on the data of a total of 2,097 award-winning projects of four national teaching achievement awards since the new century, and using cross-provincial and cross-disciplinary quantitative models as research tools, it was found that the competitiveness of higher education teaching in China is present The situation of "one super and two strong", and the teaching competitiveness of the provinces in the eastern region is generally better than that in the west. The central region presents a "three-legged" situation of Hubei Province, Shaanxi Province, and Sichuan Province. The overall distribution of the characteristic disciplines of each province's teaching results is in line with the "dual-power" situation.
