Abstract
This Compass publication, follows the line of inquiry of 'The Osborne Supremacy 'by analysing shifting nature of Conservative political hegemony following the Brexit vote in 2016. It characterises the Conservative strategy as a new form of 'double shuffle' that combines a regressive nationalism with forms of political and economic interventionism different from the preceding Cameron/Osborne period. The think piece proceeds to argue for a form of progressive populism rooted in Green New Deal, democratic localist politics and a Progressive Alliance to challenge this new Conservative hegemony.
