Abstract

Work in progress paper describing the recent scholarly interest in writers' libraries and exploring the extent to which the library of Prime Minister W.E. Gladstone can be seen as a writers' library. It highlights GladCat, the online database that includes Gladstone's annotations of its books and the potential of quantitative data to answer Humanities questions, using methods from Digital Bibliography.
