Abstract

A lecture presented by Professor Jonathan Montgomery, of UCL Laws, to the Symposium on Law and Compassion, 1 July 2015 at the Institute of Advanced Legal Studies in London WC1B 5DR This symposium explored the relationships between law and compassion, focussing on the conceptual and theoretical approaches to compassion and the relationship of compassion to litigation, judging and regulation, with particular concern to learn from critical inter-disciplinary and socio-legal approaches.
