Abstract
This article gives an overview of some of the reinsurance structures, some of the reinsurance law issues, and some of the reinsurance contract clauses, that Financial Lines insurers, in their capacity as reinsureds, may encounter. The discussion proceeds from the perspective of English law, which remains one of the preferred choices of law in reinsurance contracts with transnational elements and/or placed in the London Market.
