Abstract
We report the penalty in SNR resulted from deviation of the input power profile from capacitymaximising one in ultrawideband transmission. We identify this penalty for a fixed per-channel power uncertainty and demonstrate the upper bound for achievable SNR gain for a piecewise-constant launch power per sub-band.
