Abstract
The poem Participatory research: Full ethical approval is a collection of four haikus following the 5-7-5 syllable format. I wrote the poem as part of my research into lived experiences of ableism in academia and ethical considerations of participatory work, as many policies in institutional ethics committees and review boards do not take into account the role and responsibilities of researchers in relation to their participants. The poem was originally published as part of a book review: https://jprm.scholasticahq.com/article/25444-book-review-ethical-practice-in-participatory-visual-research-with-girls-transnational-approaches-vol-2
