Abstract
A proposed new version of the Multi Layer Perspective, with Natural Capital separated from the single landscape that is standard in the MLP. A historical version shows high resource use and high release of waste into Natural Capital. A future, idealistic, version shows small flows of resource use and waste, alignment between scientific knowledge about natural systems and policy, and a circular economy.
