Abstract
This chapter discusses narratives of three Principal Investigators and their experiences whilst coming together on a research project in Pakistan. The theoretical framework used in this study draws on Critical Race Theory (CRT), Whiteness Studies, intersectionality, and feminism. The analysis adds to a growing body of knowledge in comparative and international education, relating to the experiences generated through the lens of different researchers across many continents. It therefore makes a unique contribution and connection to the field of comparative and international education as it adopts a bilateral approach, exploring the careers of the interviewees alongside the researchers’ own experiences of conducting research. Parallel researcher introspection and the role it plays as investigations are negotiated and executed in diverse contexts is an area that challenges us to explore our lived experiences, subjectivities, and the ensuing knowledge generated. The chapter thereby highlights a methodology that is critical for the realisation of goals inherent to the Global Citizenship Education agenda and dialogical practices in research.
