Abstract

A programme of research shows important changes over time in school breaktimes and lunchtimes, offers insights into the views of school staff and children, and shows the social value of children’s experiences during these times. IOE Research Briefings are short descriptions of significant research findings, based on the wide range of projects carried out by IOE researchers.
