Abstract
The paper presents early findings from a collaborative project at a large research-intensive university looking at what staff and students learn from engaging in dialogue about research (here called ‘Meet the Researcher’ but also known as ‘Staff-student interviews’). The findings will show how talking about research helped shaped student perceptions about the research-intensive HE environment and its relation to their own learning, and how staff views on the research and teaching nexus have changed as a result of talking to students. The presentation establishes key implications for the sector and identifies further areas for enquiry.
