Abstract
In his introduction to the volume, Paschalis M. Kitromilides argues for more historical substance and nuance in describing the relations between the two peoples and countries that pride themselves on a shared religious (Byzantine Orthodox) background and no mutual armed conflict since the early fourteenth century.
