Abstract

This research reviews evidence on microfinance interventions in low-and middle-income countries, and in sub-Saharan Africa in particular, to consider the impact on the individuals and communities they claim to serve. IOE Research Briefings are short descriptions of significant research findings, based on the wide range of projects carried out by IOE researchers.
