Abstract

While the evidence base for what works for whom remains limited, there is an increasing body of research that clinicians can draw on to inform their practice with children and young people. In order to make the best use of the information that is available, it is important both to be familiar with the existing evidence and to be aware of its limitations (that is, both limitations of existing studies and areas where no studies exist).
