Abstract
Reading of “Italie magique”, the anthology of the fantastic by Conti, published in French in 1946. The collection, as the scholar demonstrates, constitutes a polemical response by the philologist to Bretonnian surrealism on the one hand, and to Mussolinian fascism on the other, in a critical revision of the categories of ‘magic’ and ‘humor’ in a profoundly European perspective.//Lettura di “Italie magique”, l’antologia continiana sul fantastico uscita in francese nel 1946. La raccolta, come dimostra la studiosa, costituisce una risposta polemica del filologo da un lato al surrealismo bretoniano, dall’altro al fascismo mussoliniano, in una revisione critica delle categorie di ‘magico’ e ‘umorismo’ in un’ottica profondamente europea.
