An investigation into non-compressive myelopathy.

Abstract
This was a study of late-onset multiple sclerosis which may present with a progressive paraparesis. Over 100 patients were studied presented with this onset of MS. A range of ancillary investigations were used which included a resistive MRI, measurement of saccadic eye movements, visual evoked potentials and somatosensory evoked potentials. HLA typing was also performed. The clinical and neurophysical characteristics of this cohort of patients was described.
