Abstract
This paper is an ongoing piece of work with a further analysis on my presentation at the ERUA symposium (May 2025). It is an explorative paper using thematic analysis on the original data collected for a five-year life history study (2020-2024). The paper aims at revealing the interweaving of historical, social, and cultural influences on the educational and professional lives of three mid-career genre-crossing composers. My analysis focuses on the impacts of cultural pluralism and intersectionality, paving ways for further suggestions on developing more equitable and sustainable learning and working environments in education and industry ecosystems.
