Abstract

We review our recent work on spatial manipulation techniques for scalable space-division multiplexing in multimode fiber systems. We demonstrate principal mode-based multiplexing for significant crosstalk suppression and efficient modal control under challenging modal dynamics and mode-dependent loss.
