Abstract

"Muslims and Christians..." offers some works arising from the close scholarly relationship maintained at the UAB between a team of Latin philologists dedicated to the study and editing of Latin translations of Islamic sources, and a group of historians who for many years have analyzed the history of al-Andalus and the process of perception of Islam by Christians in medieval Europe, anchored in legends and fables denigrating Muhammad and Islam. The book also includes works by other international specialists, offering elements for reflection and debate that help us understand the complex relationships between Christians and Muslims in the Middle Ages.
