Abstract

Self-driving vehicles will change many aspects of our lives: roads, traffic safety, cities, the economy, social justice, health, the environment, and crime. However, governments, the transport industry, and citizens do not know yet how all these changes are linked with each other. As part of a EU-funded project (Move2CCAM), we invited citizens and organisations in eight European countries for a series of activities including workshops, experiences of using and observing selfdriving vehicles, a virtual reality experience, an online questionnaire, and interviews. Participants shared their opinions on how self-driving vehicles could change their lives and the lives of others in their regions. This document explains what we did, why we did it, and how. It also explains what we found and what we learned about self-driving vehicles.
