Abstract
"This chapter argues that concerns around profiling must be complemented by a focus on the rights and interests of those that, often unwittingly and perhaps unwillingly, themselves contribute to computing that impacts individuals, groups and environments. The focus is not on how these individuals have their characteristics computed , but instead how they contribute to and support the computing of other people and their environments. In the worst case, these are individuals who are facilitating computing unwillingly, unknowingly and even unidentifiably."
