Abstract
This paper proposes an innovative digital humanities research model to study the Chinese Export Art in the Global Art History that is derived from a research project undertaken by a collaborative team from University College London (UCL) and the Victoria and Albert Museum (V&A) in the UK (Gao et al., 2023). Our research focuses on the digital analysis of Chinese Export Watercolours, a unique artistic genre that flourished between the 18th and 19th centuries. These paintings, created specifically for Western patrons, represent a fusion of Chinese artistic traditions and European aesthetic sensibilities, offering an unparalleled glimpse into the cross-cultural interactions of the era (Clunas, 1984).
