Abstract

This guide offers practical advice for creating empowering processes in collaborative Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) projects, with a specific emphasis on meaningful student-staff partnerships. We use reflections based on a project run by like-minded colleagues based at University College London (UCL)’s East campus and those at Queen Mary University London (QMUL). The project explored how equity issues can be addressed through community-based learning and teaching (CBLT) approaches in ESD, the following tips focus on co-creation, student agency, and inclusive project practices that drive sustainable change in educational contexts.
