Abstract
It seems intuitively obvious that transparency plays a role in organisational integrity - but exactly how it does so is not well understood. We demonstrate that transparency contributes to a number of organisational outcomes - but less direct outcomes such as trust and integrity require greater consideration. Through insights generated by those involved in combatting forced labour, we show that transparency in and of itself is unlikely to be effective in how stakeholders consider an organisation’s integrity. Consideration needs to be given to how information is presented, but also the broader context in which it sits.
