Abstract
New digital trends have found a place in the mathematics classroom and there is a potentially “hidden” demand for students to acquire both digital and mathematical competencies. Current frameworks often talk about one or the other. In this paper, we propose a combined framework for mathematical digital competencies based on two existing frameworks: the KOM framework for mathematical competencies, and the DigComp framework for digital competencies. We discuss the potential value of such a framework for the mathematics education community, i.e. researchers, mathematics educators and practitioners.
