Abstract
This thesis has generated a fresh understanding of the competitive behaviour of British Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) in the international student market in the context of mergers. The current research will be of interest to academia, policy makers and governments, managers, international student recruitment practitioners and professional student bodies, as well as international students themselves.
