Abstract
Of course, the idea of a representative patient who can speak for all is a fiction, but I interviewed three people with pain who have enriched the field of pain management by original and powerful contributions. Tracking them down to interview was hard, catching them after long working days, and between travels within and beyond the UK to train others and network. I asked them how they came to be doing what they’re doing.
