Abstract
Focal Point Gallery is presented a Family Activity Day in Shoebury Park to launch a new artwork created Kieren Reed with local schools and groups in Shoeburyness, Southend. Kieren curated the event and invited other artists from the area and offered free art workshops and activities for families. . Kieren Reed has spent two years visiting the Park to develop a new public art project that merges the interests of the young people he has met with his own research and practice as an artist. The result is a use-able sculpture made of many parts that can be arranged and re-arranged into an infinite series of sculptures.
