Abstract
There is ever greater emphasis on the student experience in Higher Education; on the quality of the taught provision, and in Engineering Education the need, through the use of innovative curricula, of preparing the next generation of work ready engineers. However, within this, the preparation of future Engineering Educators to rise to the challenges of implementing innovative pedagogy is often overlooked. This paper, in attempting to address this, presents the findings from a ‘seed corn’ funded project on how the experience of acting as research assistants on the project enabled an alternate and expansive approach to the professional development of future engineering educators
