Abstract
This work has as its objective the connection between a fieldwork about the meet- ings between street children and educators and theoretic-methodological perspectives that aim to relocate ethnographic representation. For this end, a contrast is offered between recent anthropological analyses about this theme, in which an interpreta- tion is elaborated through the use of terms such as family and society and an analysis that begins with the social relations that run through these terms and beyond. As such, an attempt is made to elicit the multiple social planes and relations that cross this theme. This article tries to elaborate an alterna- tive for the analysis of phenomena that are normally defined by their “lack of...” and thus outlines re- flections about the very idea of one ethnographic “reality”. // Este trabalho tem como objetivo principal conectar uma pesquisa de campo, sobre os encontros entre meninos e educadores de rua, com perspectivas teórico-metodológicas que visam re-situar a representação etnográfica. Para esse fim, ofereço um contraste entre recentes análises antro- pológicas sobre este tema, em que uma interpreta- ção é elaborada a partir de termos como família e identidade, e uma análise que parte das relações so- ciais que ultrapassam esses conceitos. Desta forma, proponho tornar um pouco mais visíveis alguns dos múltiplos planos sociais que atravessam esse campo de pesquisa e de relações. Este artigo busca elaborar uma alternativa para a análise de fenômenos que são normalmente definidos por sua “carência” e esboça, assim, uma reflexão sobre a própria idéia de uma “realidade” etnográfica.
