Language: | English |
Additional information: | This article subjects the government's well being agenda to philosophical scrutiny. Key terms are found to be fatally obscure, but it is argued that that caution about the agenda as a whole should not lead us to overlook ways in which well-being may be a serious issue for educators. This article led to an invitation to address the ESRC series Changing the human subject? Interdisciplinary perspectives on emotional well-being and social justice in education policy and practice (November 2009). Further projects/publications are under now discussion with ESRC series leader Kathryn Ecclestone. The definitive version is available at www3.interscience.wiley.com |
