Hole spin preparation is achieved through ionization of a resonantly excited electron-hole pair. Optical control is observed as a coherent Rabi rotation between the hole and charged-exciton states, which is conditional on the initial hole spin state. The spin-selective creation of the charged exciton provides a photocurrent readout of the hole spin state. © 2008 The American Physical Society. date: 2008-05-13 official_url: http://dx.doi.org/10.1103/PhysRevLett.100.197401 vfaculties: VENG oa_status: green primo: open primo_central: open_green verified: verified_manual elements_source: Scopus elements_id: 97789 doi: 10.1103/PhysRevLett.100.197401 lyricists_name: Liu, Huiyun lyricists_id: HLIUX22 full_text_status: public publication: Physical Review Letters volume: 100 number: 19 article_number: 197401 issn: 0031-9007 citation: Ramsay, AJ; Boyle, SJ; Kolodka, RS; Oliveira, JBB; Skiba-Szymanska, J; Fox, AM; Skolnick, MS; ...
