Here we show that non-gray atmospheres can significantly affect evolutionary models, with masses up to 0.9 M-circle dot. The effect of including a non-gray atmosphere is strongest in the pre-main and post-main Sequence. This may have implications for the ages of the oldest globular clusters. date: 2006 publisher: ASTRONOMICAL SOC PACIFIC vfaculties: VMPS oa_status: green primo: open primo_central: open_green verified: verified_batch elements_source: Web of Science elements_id: 149469 isbn_13: 978-1-583812-21-1 lyricists_name: Miller, Steven lyricists_name: Tennyson, Jonathan lyricists_id: SMILL41 lyricists_id: JTENN43 full_text_status: public volume: 353 pagerange: 83 - 90 event_title: Workshop on Stellar Evolution at Low Metallicity event_location: Tartu, ESTONIA event_dates: 2005-08-15 - 2005-08-19 refereed: TRUE book_title: Stellar Evolution at Low Metallicity: Mass Loss, Explosions, Cosmology editors_name: Lamers, HJGLM editors_name: Langer, N editors_name: Nugis, T editors_name: Annuk, K citation: Harris, GJ; Lynas-Gray, AE; Tennyson, J; Miller, S; (2006) The role of non-gray model atmospheres in the evolution of low mass metal poor stars.
