A 55-year-old man was diagnosed with VKH based on panuveitis and exudative retinal detachments. Spectral-domain optical coherence tomography demonstrated a dome-shaped protrusion with a nonconforming pattern at the fovea, which had been detected as a conforming pattern 1 year before the onset. The FCE pattern returned into a conforming pattern following corticosteroid therapy. These findings suggest that the natively existent FCE could be affected by pathophysiological changes of VKH as well as other chorioretinal conditions. date: 2014-12-04 official_url: http://dx.doi.org/10.2147/OPTH.S75558 oa_status: green full_text_type: pub language: eng primo: open primo_central: open_green verified: verified_manual elements_id: 1124132 doi: 10.2147/OPTH.S75558 lyricists_name: Fujinami, Kaoru lyricists_id: KFUJI71 actors_name: Fujinami, Kaoru actors_name: Allington-Smith, Dominic actors_id: KFUJI71 actors_id: DAALL44 actors_role: owner actors_role: impersonator full_text_status: public publication: Clinical Ophthalmology volume: 8 pagerange: 2461-2465 issn: 1177-5483 citation: Fujinami, K; Nishikawa, Y; Watanabe, K; Noda, T; Tsunoda, K; Akiyama, K; (2014) Clinical course of focal choroidal excavation in Vogt-Koyanagi-Harada disease.
