It presents with a variety of symptoms, the most common being epistaxis. Although histologically benign, it may be clinically progressive. Radiological findings can range from a benign appearance to a more aggressive process, including bony erosion. Surgical evacuation is the mainstay of therapy. We describe our experience in managing this condition and review available literature on the subject. date: 2008-02 publisher: CAMBRIDGE UNIV PRESS official_url: http://dx.doi.org/10.1017/S0022215107007219 oa_status: green language: eng primo: open primo_central: open_green article_type_text: Article verified: verified_batch elements_source: Web of Science elements_id: 192724 doi: 10.1017/S0022215107007219 language_elements: EN lyricists_name: Lund, Valerie lyricists_name: Ramsay, Alan lyricists_id: VJLUN24 lyricists_id: ADRAM52 full_text_status: public publication: Journal of Laryngology and Otology volume: 122 number: 2 pagerange: 210 - 212 issn: 0022-2151 citation: Lim, M; Lew-Gor, S; Beale, T; Ramsay, A; Lund, VJ; (2008) Maxillary sinus haematoma.
