We conduct a textual analysis of firms’ annual reports to quantify the creation-oriented culture and environmental, social, and governance levels. The results reveal that a creation-oriented culture positively affects environmental, social, and governance activities. The findings also show that creation-oriented culture can positively affect environmental, social, and governance activities through the channels of corporate green innovation and chief executive officers’ career horizons. The findings of this study have implications for stakeholders and policymakers aiming to enhance environmental, social, and governance activities at the corporate level. date: 2024-05 date_type: published publisher: Elsevier BV official_url: http://dx.doi.org/10.1016/j.gloenvcha.2024.102852 full_text_type: other language: eng verified: verified_manual elements_id: 2278795 doi: 10.1016/j.gloenvcha.2024.102852 lyricists_name: Zheng, Heran lyricists_id: HZHEB45 actors_name: Zheng, Heran actors_id: HZHEB45 actors_role: owner full_text_status: restricted publication: Global Environmental Change volume: 86 article_number: 102852 issn: 0959-3780 citation: Wen, Quan; Shao, Shipian; Wang, Yaopeng; Hong, Jingke; Lu, Ke; Zhao, Qingyue; Zheng, Heran; Wen, Quan; Shao, Shipian; Wang, Yaopeng; Hong, Jingke; Lu, Ke; Zhao, Qingyue; Zheng, Heran; Ma, Li; - view fewer <#> (2024) Does creation-oriented culture promote ESG activities?
