This paper outlines Facebooks cyber cyber digital twin, dubbed WW, a twin of Facebooks WWW platform, built using web-enabled simulation. The paper focuses on the current research challenges and opportunities in the area of measurement. Measurement challenges lie at the heart of modern simulation. They directly impact how we use simulation outcomes for automated online and semi-Automated offline decision making. Measurements also encompas how we verify and validate those outcomes. Modern simulation systems are increasingly becoming more like cyber cyber digital twins, effectively moving from manual to automated decision making, hence, these measurement challenges acquire ever greater significance. date: 2021-10 date_type: published publisher: Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) official_url: https://doi.org/10.1145/3475716.3484196 oa_status: green full_text_type: other primo: open primo_central: open_green verified: verified_manual elements_id: 1897921 doi: 10.1145/3475716.3484196 isbn_13: 9781450386654 lyricists_name: Harman, Mark lyricists_id: MHARM36 actors_name: Harman, Mark actors_id: MHARM36 actors_role: owner full_text_status: public publication: International Symposium on Empirical Software Engineering and Measurement place_of_pub: New York, NY, USA event_title: ESEM '21: ACM / IEEE International Symposium on Empirical Software Engineering and Measurement issn: 1949-3789 book_title: ESEM '21: Proceedings of the 15th ACM / IEEE International Symposium on Empirical Software Engineering and Measurement (ESEM) citation: Bojarczuk, K; Dvortsova, I; George, J; Gucevska, N; Harman, M; Lomeli, M; Lucas, S; ...
