N2  - Infrastructure powers, heats, cools, hydrates, connects, mobilises, and sanitises our cities. It supports the movement of food, people, goods, services, and ideas to, from, and within cities. It makes possible the provision of social infrastructure services to city residents. It enables a range of social and economic activity that simply could not occur in its absence. A city?s infrastructure is an enabling catalyst that makes possible wider economic and social activity and creates multiplier effects. Ultimately the purpose of a city?s infrastructure is to enable the quality of life, economic prosperity, and other societally beneficial outcomes that citizens expect.
