They can be created in the mind of anyone who sees a need that people can buy, as an outcome of knowledge creation and sharing. This paper presents the structure, concepts, methods and operations of a proposed framework that addresses a new approach on product knowledge registration, evolution and utilization. It explains the co-evolution of a democratic industry-society relationship between the large or small organizations and individuals and provides the process model to apply it in practice. The proposed framework adapts and uses the Company Democracy Model as the base for the development of a practical approach through the evolution of the new product development process over its six escalated stages. Starting from the first level of the idea creation within a knowledge sharing culture, until sixth level of the models which deals with globalization and internationalization strategies. date: 2019-08-14 date_type: published publisher: Springer official_url: https://doi.org/10.1007/978-3-030-27928-8_126 oa_status: green full_text_type: other language: eng primo: open primo_central: open_green verified: verified_manual elements_id: 1816924 doi: 10.1007/978-3-030-27928-8_126 isbn_13: 978-3-030-27927-1 lyricists_name: Markopoulos, Evangelos lyricists_id: EMARK80 actors_name: Markopoulos, Evangelos actors_name: Allington-Smith, Dominic actors_id: EMARK80 actors_id: DAALL44 actors_role: owner actors_role: impersonator full_text_status: public series: Advances in Intelligent Systems and Computing (AISC) publication: Advances in Intelligent Systems and Computing volume: 1026 place_of_pub: Cham, Switzerland pagerange: 829-839 event_title: 2nd International Conference on Human Systems Engineering and Design (IHSED2019): Future Trends and Applications issn: 2194-5357 book_title: Human Systems Engineering and Design II: Proceedings of the 2nd International Conference on Human Systems Engineering and Design (IHSED2019): Future Trends and Applications, September 16-18, 2019, Universität der Bundeswehr München, Munich, Germany editors_name: Ahram, T editors_name: Karwowski, W editors_name: Pickl, S editors_name: Taiar, R citation: Markopoulos, E; Gann, EL; Vanharanta, H; (2019) Democratizing New Product Development Through an Industry-Society Entrepreneurial Partnership.
