The research involved monitoring the internal and external conditions for one month, and the completion of a patient questionnaire. The environmental design software TAS was used to simulate the current building conditions and to simulate different ventilation strategies and their effects. The report finds that a natural ventilation strategy would successfully cool and ventilate part of the hospital, but that its implementation would not be practical.
