Little is known about bullying in low- and middle-income countries, however. This study uses a mixed methods approach combining survey analysis of the predictors and associations with being bullied, with qualitative data to explore the context in which bullying occurs and the social processes that underpin it. Findings show that better data collection and increased resource allocation to bullying prevention are needed. The development and evaluation of different types of effective, sustainable and scalable bullying prevention models in low- and middle-income country contexts are priorities for programming and research. date: 2016 date_type: published publisher: UNICEF Office of Research – Innocenti official_url: https://www.unicef-irc.org/publications/863-experiences-of-peer-bullying-among-adolescents-and-associated-effects-on-young-adult.html full_text_type: pub language: eng verified: verified_manual elements_id: 1556423 lyricists_name: Pells, Kirrily lyricists_id: KPELL44 actors_name: Pells, Kirrily actors_id: KPELL44 actors_role: owner full_text_status: restricted series: Innocenti Discussion Paper number: 2016-03 place_of_pub: Florence, Italy pages: 63 citation: Pells, K; Ogando Portela, MJ; Espinoza Revollo, P; (2016) Experiences of Peer Bullying among Adolescents and Associated Effects on Young Adult Outcomes: Longitudinal Evidence from Ethiopia, India, Peru and Viet Nam.
