It delves into the role played by codebar’s organisers, considering how the problem of gender, ethnic and sexual under-representation in technology work leads to codebar’s particular effort to solve it. In exploring links between the organisers’ work and existing theories about empowering pedagogy, it addresses the question: How is diversity practiced educationally? date: 2018-08 date_type: published publisher: Digital Games Research Association official_url: https://doi.org/10.26503/todigra.v4i1.83 oa_status: green full_text_type: pub language: eng primo: open primo_central: open_green verified: verified_manual elements_id: 1539811 doi: 10.26503/todigra.v4i1.83 lyricists_name: Pelletier, Caroline lyricists_id: CPELL97 actors_name: Pelletier, Caroline actors_id: CPELL97 actors_role: owner full_text_status: public publication: ToDIGRA 2017 Diversity Workshop Special Issue volume: 4 pagerange: 1-30 event_title: DiGRA 2017: Digital Games Research Association, 2-6 July 2017, Melbourne, Australia event_location: Melbourne event_dates: 02 July 2017 - 06 July 2017 institution: Digital Games Research Association 2017 issn: 2328-9422 book_title: Transactions of the Digital Games Research Association citation: Johnstone, D; Pelletier, C; (2018) Facilitating Diversity-Centred Adult Computing Education.
