Explore your statistics: getting started
In addition to the download statistics provided by UCL Discovery, UCL authors are able to generate their own statistics by UPI (UCL Personal Identifier), record ID and (where required) by Department or Research Group. Each of these options can be restricted to a set period of time.
Statistical results are available in numeric and graphic formats, including bar charts and pie charts. The dashboard displays can be embedded in other pages.
Go to the IRStats start page.
You will see the IRStats search screen that will resemble the following:
In the top part of the search screen, enter the search parameters of your choice. For example, if you want statistics on a paper with the ID 1234 (the number at the end of the record URL (http://discovery.ucl.ac.uk/1234/) for the period January 2009 to December 2009, enter 1234 in the ID field, and select the from and to dates from the drop down lists.
Select the statistics view you wish to see for the search parameters you have entered and click on "Generate the Requested View". If you want to generate an alternative view for the same search parameters, click back to amend your search.
Information on the different views follows with examples. Please note that your results may vary significantly from the examples given.
