Abstract

Coherent detection, a field revived by advances in DSP, has recently received renewed interest in optical communication systems with spectrally efficient modulation formats. We review DSP techniques for 16-QAM which is one of the most promising modulation formats for next-generation communication systems. © 2010 Crown.
