Law Commission proposals relating to joint criminal ventures will be examined. Doctrinal and policy criticisms will be made and some alternative proposals will be offered. A conception of joint criminal ventures confined to agreements to commit crimes will be advocated. Proposals for enhancing the punishment for criminal conduct on the basis of increasing the risk of further criminal conduct on the part of others will be made.
