Abstract
The compound Os3(CO)10[(CF3)2P = N = PPh3]2 obtained from the reaction of Os3(CO)10(CH3CN)2 with (CF3)2P-N = PPh3, has been characterized by X-ray crystallography. The osmium atoms form an approximate isoceles triangle. Both diphosphazene ligands which assume equatorial sites, contain unusually short P-N bonds, from P-N = P to P = N = P upon coordination to osmium metals.
