Abstract

The reaction of [(eta-3:eta-2-eta-3-C12H18)RuCl2] with Ag[BF4] (1:1 mole ratio) in water-acetone gives an air-stable aqueous solution of [(eta-3:eta-2:-eta-3-C12H18)RuCl(H2O)][BF4]; the isolated complex has been characterised by H-1 and C-13 NMR spectroscopy and X-ray crystallography.
