Abstract

Mossbauer spectra of amorphous Fe78B13Si9 (Metglas 2605S-2) were recorded at room temperature with the ribbon plane tilted at a series of angles to the gamma-ray beam. Data analysis using the model of Melamud et al. [J. Appl. Phys. 61 (1987) 34] showed that ambiguity arises in determining the in-plane spread of moment directions, so that numerous Mossbauer spectra are required to properly determine the moment distribution.
