Abstract

The effect of syngeneic blood transfusion has been studied in animals bearing colorectal neoplasms induced by administration of Azoxymethane weekly for 12 weeks. Blood transfusion at either 8 or 18 weeks after initiation of azoxymethane therapy did not produce a statistically significant effect on tumour burden measured at sacrifice after 24 weeks.
