| Title: | Buckling Analysis of Cylindrical Sandwich Shells Under External Loads |
| Event: | Proceedings of the Conference on Computational Engineering and Science |
| Additional information: | An analytical procedure to determine the classical buckling of the cylindrical sandwich shell subjected to lateral loads is derived based on the variational method. The method is compared with other analytical methods to show the accuracy of the proposed method. The effects of the shear stiffness and thickness of the cylindrical sandwich shell to the classical buckling load of the members are examined. Furthermore, the lower bound of the elastic buckling of the members in considering the scatter of the initial imperfection is proposed based on the reduced stiffness method |
